Raglan Fishing Report - November 25th, 2020

  • General Saltwater, North Island West Coast - Kaipara to New Plymouth

Excellent big snapper have been showing up in good numbers in the catches this past couple of weeks with the height of spawning upon us. When they are on the bite they are hitting all baits. Gurnard have also been sizey when they can beat the snapper to the baits, which seems to be around slack water when the snapper often take a break. Yellow tail mackerel have been a welcome by catch for fresh bait as the water column has been busy from almost the top to the bottom with bait fish sign. A few trevally have also been getting caught.

The kingfish are here on the structure now too. Nice keepers with the odd one around the meter length.
