Raglan Fishing Report 271118

27 November 2018

Murray of Reel Action Raglan reports good snapper around the 50m mark and little time needed to fill the bin. With a few windy and rainy days in between some stunning weather, we've been managing to sneak out for a quick bin up before returning to the shelter of the harbour. It's in these turbulent patches of weather that our Senator with it's pontoon sides really is in a class of her own when at rest, with solid sea handling when underway - a feature set that continues to impress experienced clients.

North West of the harbour has produced good quantities of healthy West Coast pannies with a few bigger snapper in the mix. A few trevally have also been caught in that area around 54 meters with the usual quantity of gurnard and sometimes, plentyful kahawai. The North West has also seen fewer sharks and barracouda.

The South West has also produced bin ups in a matter of hours with the prize snapper caught around the fifty meter contour. Last trip there were no shark and only one barracouda caught, long may that continue.
