Hauraki Gulf Fishing Report 250718

  • General Saltwater, Auckland and The Hauraki Gulf

In a nutshell the workups out by Great Barrier continue to crank. They are around the Port Fitzroy and Pigeon Rocks areas and on most days are very hard to miss!

Closer to home there is sporadic snapper fishing in the middle Gulf and the full moon has shortened the bite time. A few big trevally have been in the mix to spice things up.

If kingfish is your game then there is no better option than those Great Barrier workups - dime a dozen out there and no need for livies, just throw down some metal!
