Hauraki Gulf Fishing Report 161117

  • General Saltwater, Auckland and The Hauraki Gulf

Wowee! If you like work-ups and snapper hand-over- fist, then get out on the Hauraki Gulf now. Huge congregations of diving gannets have been found around Kawau this week, but the impending easterlies may well make it hard to fish this area over the weekend.

Luckily enough, action can still be found over the other side of the Gulf between Gannet Rock over to the Coromandel islands. At the moment you don't necessarily need to find the gannets to have good slow-jig sessions, but it certainly does help! Until next week.
