With a nice break in the weather (finally!) we managed to get out a few times over the weekend.
The fishing was reasonably slow on Saturday, however Sunday was a blue bird day allowing us to get out wide and track down some workups.
Plenty of willing snapper attacked the Daiwa New Zealand Kohgas and a few modest kingfish made their presence known. The action should steadily move in closer over the next month and expect some intense workup action from the end of this month through to Christmas.
A few kingies are starting to move into the coast and keen topwater anglers are already nabbing a few around the Leigh coast and Kawau areas at daybreak.
