The COVID-19 pandemic has curtailed many people’s plans, including those of international renown sportfishing captain John Batterton.
As a result, John is offering his not inconsiderable experience and skills to Kiwi boat owners this summer and beyond, making himself available as a fishing consultant, sharing his extensive sportfishing knowledge with anyone wanting to take advantage of it.
People wanting a skipper aboard their own vessels to go to the Three Kings or the Wanganella Banks, or perhaps to fish a couple of tournaments, are the sort of clients John can help. He has completed many blue water passages and is available for ‘expedition ‘ trips to the likes of Australia’s eastern seaboard or to the South Pacific with owners seeking a little more adventure.
There are people out there who have upgraded or purchased their first launch and want to know how to set it up for sportfishing, or perhaps want some guidance to catch a swordfish or marlin. John can help them with than in a mentoring role.
And if you’re contemplating building a sportfishing boat and want to get it right, John can also be of service, having worked on some of the best boats on the planet.
John says gamefishing doesn’t need to be complicated. And believes in the KISS theory – Keep It Simple Stupid – and often you only need some minor changes to make a good boat of crew into a great one. John can be contacted via email [email protected]
