Incorporating the same radar technologies used by the United States Coast Guard, Raymarine’s new Magnum high-performance open array radar is ideal for both keen fishers and long-range, blue water cruisers.
Featuring an advanced automatic bird mode, Magnum accurately identifies birds up to 10 nautical miles away, saving fuel and helping skippers find schooling baitfish faster.
Thanks to Raymarine’s famous beam sharpening technology, Magnum also delivers better than 1 degree bearing resolution for more detailed target separation, map-like coastal detail and superior long-range performance.
At the same time, Magnum’s enhanced mini-automatic radar plotting aid (MARPA) provides accurate and reliable target tracking, giving added confidence and peace-of-mind when navigating busy waterways.
Packaged in a sleek open array pedestal, built to withstand the harsh marine environment, Magnum is available in 4 kilowatt (kW) or 12kW power output options, with either a four-foot or six-foot antenna array. The 12kW models are able to identify targets up to 96 nautical miles away, ideal for blue water cruisers and commercial operators. The smaller 4kW models have a still impressive maximum range of up to 72nm.
The perfect companion to Raymarine’s award-winning Axiom and Axiom Pro multifunction navigation displays (MFDs) running LightHouse3, Magnum is also compatible with LightHouse 2-based Raymarine MFDs.
Raymarine’s new Magnum high-performance open array radar is now available nationwide through Lusty & Blundell’s nationwide network of leading marine dealers. Product and dealer information is available from Lusty and Blundell on (09) 415-8303 or at www.lusty-blundell.co.nz.
