Both the NZ Fishing Media’s two project boats - Fishing News a Billfisher 730 and On-Line an Extreme 745 Centre console – will be displayed at the Ti Rakau Drive Boat Show July 24-26.
Four dealerships, all in close proximity to one another on East Auckland’s Ti Rakau Drive – Auckland Marine Centre, Sports Marine, Woodbine Marine and Family Boats – are hosting a three-day event that will see many of new Zealand’s iconic marine marques on display.
The www.fishing.net.nz project boat On-Line will be at Woodbine Marine. When launched 18 months ago, this Extreme 745 CC was the first vessel of its size in the world to have a Sea Keeper II gyro stabilising system on board. The Honda 250HP powered vessel features a full suite of Raymarine electronics and sits on a Voyager trailer, fitted with a Balex ABL system.
NZFM Boat On-Line II
The aptly named Fishing News is the magazine’s project boat and will be on display at Family boats. The Billfishers were the first GRP manufactured fully walk-around sportfishing vessels to come on the market and are a popular choice among keen anglers. Fishing News has Furuno NavNetTZtouch3 electronics on board including a 15-inch plotter/sounder and auto pilot. It also features the latest C-Zone switching system that enables the owner to customise their electrical system including lights, livebait tanks and wipers.
An Enduro tandem axle trailer, also fitted with a Balex ABL loading system, is another great feature of this rig which is powered by the latest 250HP Mercury V8 Verado outboard.
