During the COVID lockdown period and as a follow-up to the cancelled Hutchwilco NZ Boat show, NZ Fishing News had two offers going -  for digital subscribers; and another for those who renewed at the 2019 show but had not been able to in 2020.

The prizes for these were a day’s fishing for the winner and a mate aboard the popular Days Out Charters in the Bay of Islands, skippered by Darren Knapping.

The winners were David Ramson, Kumeu (Digital); and Mark Winter, Whangarei (Boat Show).
