Master Class seminars feature of the Hutchwilco Boat Show

Visitors to this year’s Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show in Auckland in May will be able to learn new fishing tips and techniques at the show’s new Top Catch Master Class fishing seminars.

The Master Class seminar programme, which has been put together with help from leading fishing retailer Top Catch and New Zealand Fishing News, New Zealand’s top fishing magazine, will cover a wide range of topics and feature easy-to-understand, practical advice from some of the country’s top fishing experts.

The Master Class seminars will cover popular topics such as Better Bait Fishing with Adam Clancy; Killer Kingfish Techniques with Ben Pokaia; Working the Workups with Paul Senior and Mark Kitteridge; Super Soft-baiting Tips with Adam Royter & Craig Robinson; Simple, Effective Fish Filleting and Catching More Gamefish with Bruce Duncan.

There will also be sessions on Understanding Marine Electronics with Josh Western; Clever Kayak Fishing with Stephen Tapp; Fishing from Jetskis with Kirk Davis and Drone Fishing with Milton Freer.

The Top Catch Master Class seminars will be held throughout the four days of the show in the new Top Catch Master Class Seminar Centre in The Rock Fishing Hall. This new, especially-designed area will be home to the NZ Fishing News stage, from which most of the speakers will share their specialised knowledge. There will also be a more intimate demonstration stage to enable close-up viewing of the fish filleting demonstrations and the like.

After each presentation, the expert speakers will remain in the Top Catch Master Class Seminar Centre to answer individual questions and offer more detailed advice.

The Top Catch Master Class Seminar Centre will also be handily positioned alongside the Top Catch stand. To support the Master Class presenters and make it easy for those attending, the Top Catch team is assembling dedicated packages for each Master Class topic and will be offering these at special show-only prices.

A full list of the Master Class speakers, their topics and the times they will be presenting will be posted on the show’s website: www.boatshow.co.nz and appear in the Official Show Guide which will be published in the New Zealand Herald on May 17 and be given away free at the entrances to the show.

Visitors to this year’s show will also be able to win a number of amazing prizes, including what is believed to be the world’s bestever boat show prize: a $200,000-plus Surtees/Yamaha Grand Prize, consisting of a Surtees 750 Game Fisher Enclosed cabin, powered by twin Yamaha 150HP XCA Digital Electronic Control (DEC) 4-stroke outboard motors and fitted with tens of thousands of dollars worth of great extras.

Also up for grabs each day of the show will be two Viking 2+1 family kayak packages, each worth over $2000.
