Due to the tropical storms forming to the north of New Zealand, and the subsequent adverse weather forecasts, organisers of the Jimmy Buffett Bonze International Marlin Skins are making the call early to postpone this year's event by a month.
The event, which was to be fished February 11-13, will still run the event out of the Whangarei Deep Sea Anglers Club in Tutukaka, but just a month later over the three days of March 11-13.
There is a new entry fee and tournament structure, along with a guaranteed $30k cash prize pool, for this year’s event.
