Shane MacRae is the latest winner of the lucky angler draw, taking home $750+ of Shimano gear.

Shane caught this beautiful winter snapper off his PWC. It measured up to 78.5cm and was caught at Ohawe using natural bait.

This wasn't the only fish that Shane caught this day, he had been catching and releasing snapper all day however he unfortunately could not get the hook out of this beast so it was taken home.



The lucky angler draw is picked at random and is ongoing throughout the DB Export Fishing Competition. This time round the prize consisted of a Shimano Genpu XT200PG reel, Shimano Engetsu BB 6'9" 2 piece 45-200G rod, Shimano Kairiki 8 Multi 15lb 300m and Shimano accesories, valued at upwards of $750.
