Kona, HI – Capt. Marlin Parker, Angler Keith Hilton, Crew Ryan Thurner, Brian Rice and Carol Lynne on Marlin Magic II weighed a 1,035 lbs. This is Captain Parker’s 3rd Grander Blue Marlin, with his last coming in 1990 (1,400 lbs).
Kona is known to be one of, if not the best fisheries for a Grander Blue Marlin, but this was the first to be weighed here since 2015. This fish ate a Marlin Magic Ruckus and took a little over 20 minutes to get her to the leader. Her measurements were 133” Short, 76” Girth and a 19.5” Tail.
