Stuart Arnold, who imports the well-known American Sportfisher marque, says what started life in his head as doing just a Grady-White Boat show, grew & grew, with now 80 different boat models being on display at what is a ‘not for profit’ event.
“As an industry we had lost the Hutchwilco and Tauranga Boat shows and with the Covid-19 issues which hit the marine industry and our local Coromandel economy hard, I decided to do a show that would be free to both the public and exhibitors to help stimulate sales,” Stuart says.
The boat show, to be based at the Tairua Marina over the weekend of August 8 and 9, has grown beyond anything Stuart could have imagined.
There will be some great new product launched. Marco Boats have a new model which has been custom built for Milan and Nathan, hosts of new web-based series The Lateral Line
Yamaha will have their Helm Master single-engine control systems, new Simrad and Raymarine cartography and displays systems, along with a new model from Extreme Boats.
The very latest from Grady White, a 10-metre Marlin 300, is just one of 10 or a dozen of these impressive sportfishers on display.
