Entries for the DB Export NZ Fishing Competition are well up on last year and there’s been some great catches around the country as winter sets in. Two trout both measuring 90cm were caught by Bob Murphy and hold first equal place on the leaderboard and Doug Clifton takes over the top spot on the terakihi leaderboard at 54.5cm.
It’s not all about the longest fish and each month one lucky angler picks up a fantastic drawn prize just for entering an eligible catch. The May prize of a Shimano Thunnus 8000 CI4 reel + Shimano Shadow X 7' 6-10kg 1pce rod, 7” Split ring Pliers, Shimano 6” Fillet Knife, and Shimano Line Cutter went to Stephen Hart for his terakihi entry.
