Located at the more sheltered northeastern end of Wellington Harbour, Seaview Marina offers one of the best trailerboat launching facilities in the region. A four-lane concrete ramp that operates at an all-tide depth of 2.2 metres is serviced by three jetties. Launching is available 24/7, all-year round.
There is an extensive parking area which is secured behind a two-metre high, electrified fence. Secure overnight and longer-term parking is available in an adjacent compound.
The cost per day is $9 to launch and retrieve and can be paid in coins, or by eftpos and credit card. An annual ramp card costs $135.
The ramp is part of an extended marine site that includes a marina, travel lift, a café, service area, Burnsco store, Pete Lamb Fishing base and a café. Once in the gate you have access to a toilet block, rubbish facilities (not for fish waste) and five taps to wash down your boat and flush your engine – you will need your own hose and standard tap fittings.
