Picton Marina Boat Ramp Review

Overview

Picton Marina Boat Ramp is one of three marinas managed by Marlborough Sounds Marinas (marlboroughmarinas.co.nz). This marina has been fully remodelled and it is extremely well setup and centrally located, just walking distance from the town centre and the Cook Strait Ferries. It is a very sheltered, all tide, multi-lane ramp with premium access to the majestic Queen Charlotte Sound.

Parking

There are 40-50 marked parks and the adjacent reserve is opened during busy periods. There is a pay and display requirement for all trailer parks.

Casual launching costs are $15 for launch, retrieval and your first day’s parking and $9 per day for parking thereafter.

Facilities

This ramp is set up well, with a boat wash down area, showers, toilets and a bridge walkway into Picton town centre.
