Kawakawa Bay Boat Club ramp review

Kawakawa Bay Boat Club ramp review

Overview

The Kawakawa Bay Boat Club is located in south-east Auckland and has really great access to some of the best fishing spots in the Hauraki Gulf and Firth of Thames.

The boat club ramp has four lanes and is an all-weather and all-tide ramp with pontoon and sea wall. The current season membership of the Kawakawa Bay Boat Club is $175, with an ongoing annual fee of $100. Casual day memberships are available for $20 per day for non-members, payable on arrival at the ramp. There is a free public ramp nearby, but you need to be careful at low tide.

Parking

For club and day members there is parking available at the two club car parks. When busy, there is parking further up the road and the club provides a courtesy shuttle to help speed things up.

Facilities

There is a tackle and bait shop next to the public ramp. Boat and trailer storage, a general store and petrol station are located nearby.
