The Ultimate Marine Makeover 2019 - Terms and Conditions for Entry

Terms and Conditions
Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these terms and conditions. By participating in the Ultimate Marine Makeover (the Promotion), entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Promotion Dates
The promotion runs from Saturday July 20 until Friday September 27 at 5.00pm (the Promotion Period). No entries will be accepted outside of the Promotion Period.

Entry
Entry is open to residents of New Zealand who are 18 years and over. Employees and their immediate families of NZ Fishing Media Ltd (the Promoters) and their agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.

To enter:
Entrants are required to send a hi-res image of the boat they would like to see ‘made-over’, along with 100 words explaining what they would like done to the boat and why the owner is a deserving recipient of the Ultimate Marine Makeover. These need to be sent to NZ Fishing Media, to be in their hands by the due date, by either email or post.

Prize 
The Ultimate Marine Makeover will be undertaken by the sponsors and will include a repower of the selected boat with a Suzuki outboard (up to 100HP), a trailer refurbishment, suitable new electronics, a selection of Catch! Tackle and chandlery and fittings deemed suitable and practical by the selection panel.

Content
All entries submitted become the property of the Promoters. As a condition of entering into the Promotion, you license the Promoters and their authorised agents to use your entry in any media for an unlimited period for any reason including but not limited to future promotional, marketing or publicity purposes. You also warrant to the Promoters that each entry submitted is bone fide, original and not unlawful, deceptive or fraudulent. You agree to indemnify the Promoter against all costs and claims by third parties arising from a breach of these warranties.

The Promoter makes the final determination as to which entries are eligible to take part in the Promotion, and the final determination of the Ultimate Marine Makeover recipient, and no correspondence will be entered into.

General terms
The prize elements are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash. In the event that any Prize (or any part of the Prize) becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter's control, the Promoter may substitute the Prize (or part of the Prize) with alternatives and at its sole discretion.

The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions.

The vessel nominated must be in a generally sound condition, with no rot or corrosion in either the hull or the superstructure.

Participants must comply with all requirements of the Promoter including any requirements specified in these terms and conditions. The Promoter may, at its absolute discretion, declare any or all entries made by an entrant invalid if the entrant  submits an entry which in the opinion of the Promoters is not in accordance with these terms and conditions.

Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) assumes no responsibility for, and excludes all liability (including negligence) for, any claims, losses (including loss of opportunity), damages, injuries, costs and/or expenses, whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, suffered, sustained or incurred as a result of, or arising in any way out of, or in any way connected with, the Promotion or any prize.

If the boat nominated for the promotion is not owned by the nominator, permission must be granted by the owner before the entry is submitted. The trailer on which the nominated vessel sits must have a current registration.

The owner is responsible for delivering the nominated boat to Auckland (NZ Fishing Media’s address) and picking it up again at the end of the refurbishment programme.

The owner and the Promotor must agree and sign off on the refurbishment plan before any work commences.

The owner is responsible for insuring the vessel for the refurbishment period. ie the time it is delivered to the Promotor until it is returned to the owner at the completion of the refurbishment work.

The Promotor is not responsible for the standard of the work undertaken during the refurbishment programme.

If for any reason any aspect of the Promotion is not capable of running as planned, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, or invalidate any affected entries, at any time without prior notice.

All decisions of the Promoter are final and binding - no correspondence will be entered into.
