I have a great way to put on epoxy heads without a lot of turning and wait time until they stay in one place, so here it is
/ Mix a 5 minute epoxy for a large fly head. and wait until it is extremely heavy taffy
/ To make a ball head, apply a chunk from a needle behind the hook eye on a bare hook
/ The secret is to now use the hot air from a hair dryer, which will soften the already almost set epoxy, and turn to make a completely round ball. The epoxy re hardens almost immediately.
/ Press into the now re-melt and sticky epoxy any eyes and apply a bit more heat to bed them in.
/ You may need to turn a few times (about a minute if mixed properly) to ensure no more slump or migration.
/ Set aside a couple of hours to fully set, then tie the fly body of your choice
