Reels - protecting from salt water

Read with interest in the forum about reels getting salt water over them and having the bearings seize etc.

Use those disposable plastic shower caps to cover the reels with these and secure with rubber band while travelling to grounds and simply remove when needed for trolling.

Do the same when returning home at end of the day. Gotta remember to rinse thoroughly with warm soapy water at the end of the trip.
