Fishing Reports

Good morning, this week’s been a real mix of everything with rain, sun, wind – you name it we’ve had it!

We do need a some additional water in the catchment and rivers but the rain that has fallen hasn’t really been enough to make a real difference. We did have a little bit of additional colour from downpours at the beginning of the week but that flushed out very quickly.

For the time of the year there are a good number of anglers that are taking advantage of the conditions and most have enjoyed some good fishing recently.

Rivers are all in excellent condition and we have had several drops in temperature which has encouraged a good number of fish to move into the lower reaches of the rivers. For those anglers that have read the conditions well they have enjoyed some good results and landed some very nice well-conditioned fish, (or swell conditioned fish as one of my American visitors said delightedly yesterday).

The next few days should be settled and with little pressure the fishing should be pretty good. We often have quite unsettled weather right up until Christmas and it seems as if nothing has changed this year.

River mouths are slow, but the lake has fished consistently with little pressure as you can imagine this will change shortly as the holiday makers arrive!
