Fishing Reports

The Store Report for Nov 3-8

The weather this week has been a real mixed bag. We’ve had everything from rain, wind and thunderstorms to sunshine.

The heavy rain that fell in the middle of the week is going to affect the rivers for a day or so but they are beginning to clear and will provide the trout with good cover for a time. With the cover and additional water volume the fish will move through the rivers, so there will be some good fishing over the next few days.

Snowy weather is forecast for the lower south and no doubt we will get a sweep of that over the north at some stage over the next few days.

Fishing has been good up until now and while low and clear, there’s been little pressure and it’s been a matter of fishing to the conditions for best results.

The next few days are forecast to be sunny, wet with some wind but there is so much water to fish it won’t be hard to find some good sheltered water.

Lake fishing has been good when the wind has been reasonable, and the fish are shallow, though the dirty water that will fringe the lake edge till the rivers clear will push the fish out into the deeper water for a time.

River mouths have fished relatively well too, both night and early morning for the hardy.
Take care on the water and feel free to call anytime for an update.

Cheers Stella
