Fishing Reports

The Store report Aug 9-13

Snow and rain and lots of it this weekend. Anglers have all enjoyed some great fishing,

We have had a deluge of rain and the rivers are still holding a lot of water, snow has closed the Desert Road and the ski fields are happy as they have heaps of new snow.

Over the weekend anglers had to contend with quite reasonable volumes as the rivers eased after a great deal of rain earlier in the week, with saturday proving to be great and very productive on all the rivers. Rain once again fell saturday night and it was just enough to create another fresh, which will ease as the week continues and anglers will again be able to enjoy some great fishing. All the rivers this morning have got colour and some real volume and as they ease the fish will move.
There are a considerable number of changes to all the tributaries as the volume of water was significant and debris and water are an interesting mix. We will have some lies that have changed, been lost and others that have been created.

There will not be much need to travel too far up the rivers over the next day or so as the fish will hold right throughout the rivers and move quietly with such perfect conditions.

Take care on the water especially if your planning to cross as the rivers have had really significant volumes through them and until we can actually see what has occurred you will need to be very wary.

We have cool winds and some rain in the forecast for the next few days but generally it should be only a sprinkle which shouldn’t have too much of an affect at this stage. If you’re able to get out onto the water later in the week, should be perfect.

River mouths have all had a lot of water and some huge amounts of debris, so if your wading take extreme care.
Feel free to give us a call for an update or accommodation anytime,
