Eastern Bay of Plenty NEWSFLASH!!! Unexpected sudden drastic change in watercolour in the Eastern BOP. Where once there was a lot of beautiful water between White Island – Whakatane – Waihou Bay there is now nothing but expansive green rubbish. Hard to believe that nearly two days of westerly winds could produce such a radical change. The good news is that water temperatures have not varied whatsoever. Hopefully we will soon see the return of the beautiful cobalt blue water we took for granted over the past two months. Will keep you up with the latest as it transpires.
