Fishing Reports

 

Not too much to report from the western quarter, as most of the 'boys' have been getting ready for the Houhora and the like! Matt Watson went out for a look about a week and a half ago and found work-ups of kahawai and pilchards in 60ms straight off the back of the bar!. Stingray II's crew live baited all day, but only tangled with a few nice makos. Charter boat, Rhumbo, turned up in the same area dropped their livies and hooked up on a 80kg stripie straight away! Matt was saying that they caught plenty of good livies (slimies and kahawai) right in againsts the rocks in the fast water at Paratuti(Watipu)!...apart from that I haven't heard very much at all!...so if anyone has any information on fishing in the Maunkau area please drop me a line! msfc_nz@hotmail.com
