Fishing Reports

 

Although there have been marlin caught in Waihau Bay waters already this season (Al Gilbys 420kg Blue weighed at Te Kaha), we have now had one over the scales here. On Sunday the 11th February Bevan Edwards of Gisborne boated a blue which weighed in at a very nice 266.2 kilos. Water temperature is now right up there and looking good for the Naitonals, although it has certainly been an extremely slow start to the game season with the marlin pin still to be taken.
