Our boat is still going out quite a distance to catch fish.
We are mainly fishing north of Anchorite in around 55 meters. It's a long way to travel but the fishing on calm days between the large storms has been great. Still lots of kahawai around and good snapper if you can find the work-ups. The occassional barracuda is starting to come up which is not a good sign.
Our hapuka trips to the Arid Island region of Great Barrier still continue but these are weather dependant and the weather, which is to be expected at this time of year, has been a challenge.
