Fishing Reports

The Store Report for Feb 8-13

Good morning, well we have had some fantastic weather and it looks as if we are going to have a continuance of the settled, sunny, warm and calm conditions for a while yet.

There may be a few showers in the midst but not lots, only what is created from the heavy cloud and heat that we have forecast over the next few days. Generally the weather is going to be good with some cloud and lots of heat and sunshine which is just what we need. The past 10 days have been just perfect and with a little cloud it has been quite bearable over the past day or so.

Fishing continues to be patchy for some and better for others but that is of course the pattern that we would expect for this time of the year. We have a lot of holiday makers that are still enjoying the weather and the opportunity to fish, be it lake or rivers at this point. The lake is naturally quite a bit warmer and thus the fishing reflects that, with fish moving deeper as the day lengthens and those that are on the water early are getting the best bite.

Rivers continue to fish with good volume and the rain that has fallen at various stages helping the cause, though over the past couple of days its been hot and calm and as a result the fishing has been a little tougher. Plenty of action with dries right throughout the fishery.

The back country has had more rainfall and rivers as a result have been up for a time, they have though dropped away and will begin to reveal some good fishing over the next few days.
River mouths have had little in the way of pressure, which means those who have fished have had some reasonable success with both dry inside of the mouths and lumos after dark.

Feel free to give us a call for an update or accommodation anytime,
