Saturday & Sunday 17/18 October

There is plenty of action occurring behind Tiri Tiri , before the cable area , and out on the mud.

The action is mainly big schools of male snapper however there are still lots of barracuta and large yellow tail with spanish mackerel and fat Kawhai in abundance.

We had 2 trips out this last weekend and all our customers took home their share of wonderful, fresh snapper.

Saturday was a great day with a number of larger snapper over 10lb cbeing Caught. Sunday however was a little rough with a westerly at 35 knots from midday onwards.

The boat handles these conditions nicely, and is a great platform to fish from. Very exciting day due to the conditions.

Plenty of fish are being taken on ledger rigs using small pilchards in block form as bait.
