Fishing Reports

Weather is picking up feels a bit like summer is on the way,
Fishing has been good up here when you can get out Puka are on the bite again, Bluenose, bass and gem fish are all in the same depth out wide.
We’re still dragging plastic, but no takers as yet. Been schools of mackerel out wide and from 200m into 80m.
There’s also good tarakihi in 150m of water and some solid kings around the pins in 80 to 100m and closer, Been some good ones caught down at the Tea Pot on light gear(3kg) weekend just gone.
The harbour is producing pan sized snapper and some of them are starting to roe up, Also good sized kahawai are around and there is plenty of live bait.
