Fishing Reports

Our boat was slightly damaged during the last trips in some big seas so we have been in maintenace for 3 weeks plus we put a new deck on. Constant improvements are recoomended for any charter boat.

During the last fine weather spell we hae been able to get back out to the 50/60 meter mark, but fishing for us last week was hard.

We had to stay out longer to get a limit bag for our guests but generally from 3pm onwards it was frantic fishing for 2 hours each day.

No real big fish , mostly 30-35cm.The occassional 6 - 7lb came aboard but not like earlier in the year.

Plenty of barracouta around . I caught myself 6 on the light soft bait rod I was using.

Kingfish (big ones) are still around. We have been trolling a lot catching huge kahawai.Some are 3 kgs plus and are huge fun on light gear.
