Fishing Reports

There have been several trips to Great Barrier over the past 2 weeks. All trips have been very successful. We have seen marlin juveniles jumping near Flat Rock, Kawau.but no luck as yet in hooking one!. Lots of nice Skipjack in huge schools on the surface off Tiri near the cable area. We have trolled through and caught as many as 20 in one session - the water is warm closer to Auckland. At the Moke’s last week if was much colder and we caught less fish but plenty of nice Hapuka in shallows at the 70 mtr mark between the Moke’s and Simpsons Rock.
