Schools of rats ion the 8-10 lb class are in abundance but often closely accompnaied by Sharks which can put them off the bite.
We had hook ups on both blues and mako on fly this week and Allen G of Auckland had a personal best fly rod fish with a great blue...

Get in now before the Christmas madness sees the fish all hiding under reefs. Water temps are running around 20.4 all the way to the Mayor so God only knows what could turn up on our doorstep this summer.
There's plenty of snapper in the shallows too, though the harbor has been fishing hard for most.
