Fishing Reports

And we were right... the fishing at The Bowentown end has gone off big time for the Salt Fly guys with massive schools of kahawai with silver trevally underneath and kings working the outsides...

Schools of rats ion the 8-10 lb class are in abundance but often closely accompnaied by Sharks which can put them off the bite.

We had hook ups on both blues and mako on fly this week and Allen G of Auckland had a personal best fly rod fish with a great blue...

The rays are in the harbor again and the kings back riding them on their flounder hunt...

Get in now before the Christmas madness sees the fish all hiding under reefs. Water temps are running around 20.4 all the way to the Mayor so God only knows what could turn up on our doorstep this summer.

There's plenty of snapper in the  shallows too, though the harbor has been fishing hard for most.

Our recent clinics went well and we wish everyone who participated all the best in putting their new found skills in action this summer.
