Finally we have got onto the fish. It has taken several efforts to figure it out but we have been going out to far and too deep.
The conditions on Monday were perfect. We had 14 people onboard, most of whom were fishers.
We started outside, off Tiri Tiri by 7 miles, just past the outside cables and sat tight. Set up two large burly trails and within 20 minutes we were hooking up nice fish. In 3 hours all fishers had their limit. The largest fish caught was 10lbs, mostly male snapper. Out of the 130 fish landed only 10 of the snapper caught were females loaded up with roe.
The fishing was not fast but constant. We caught 4 sharks and some very nice gurnard.
It was a great day, the fish once found were biting hard. Most fish took the hooks down into the gut.
