The days that the boat has been out there have been some great snapper & gurnard caught.
We have been fishing the 50 mtr mark with lots of burley, ledger rigs and bright steel/silver jigs. We have been catching great fish under the workup's.
The rain ,wind and cold have spoilt many of the trips and we are sorry that we had to cancel a lot. The last month was a real diaster to be honest.
With September just around the corner we hope the weather will become more settled.
Last week we noticed for the first time that the snapper start to have eggs and roe coming in. So soon we expect them to start to spawn.
No Kingies sighted for 2 months but up until the end of July there were huge fish around Waiheke and Kawau,
Cheers,
Brett,
