Fishing Reports

The Store report for August 27-31

We have had the deludges that everyone else has had but not to the same degree, lots of water and a higher than normal water table, and lake level hasnt helped but at least we have had windows where we have been able to get onto the water and fish and quite reasonably too.

All the rivers as I am writing this are high and some have more colour than others. We haven't been hit with any further rainfall over the past 24 hours and the forecast is looking great for the end of the week and the weekend, both for skiing and fishing, finially at last some hope.

The big river is still high and has plenty of colour and most anglers are used to fishing to the conditions that prevail on the day.

The smaller tributaries are still high and coloured at present but should clear quickly and be good for the latter part of the week. The fact that we have little in the way of rain forecast for the next few days will allow the fish to move .

We have really had to cope with all manner of conditions but that makes a better angler and the challenges add variety and fun to the sport.

Those fishing the stream mouths will have a day or so to wait until they will be able to fish them comfortably, but with better weather on the way, we look forward to being able to take advantage of the additional water and colour.

Feel free to call anytime for an update.

Cheers,
Pete and Stella.
