Nice terakihi sth end of Mana, Gurnard going well eastern side of the harbour - ward isl. 9.6.08 Just got back from the sounds, plenty of bluecod and terakihi , puka to 50lb. An earthquake on monday may put the puka off the bite for a few days. Last Friday we caught a stack of bluenose at the trench, i hear there are heaps of big gurnard around the harbour entrance as well a few big blue macks, Kahawai are plentiful in most places 3.6.08 We caught a 28kg kingfish while bluenose fishing the trench 1.6.08 and have caught plenty of bluenose to 15kg over the last couple of days. On friday 30.5.08 we caught 10 puka to 50lb nth of fishermans. The tarakihi & cod have been good on both coasts and there are still good snapper and john dory on the west. 24 and 38kg kingfish were caught at fishermans rock 20th may on 6mtr vessel "Play Station" launched from Mana Cruising Club. Both fish caught at Fisherman's Rock Tuesday 20 May. Caught using 37kg Mono Line & using yellow 400 gram Jig.
