Report 10.5.08
Last week we had some good 'puka fishing with fish up to 65lb, terakihi and cod have been abundant from Makara to Ohau point and also on the sth coast.. Karori light and Turakerie have been good on the small tides. Bluenose and 'puka are still good at the trench with snapper and kingfish still around (but in fewer numbers) on the west coast.
Another 20lb snapper was caught surfcasting in Palliser Bay along with a good smattering of spotty sharks. There's gurnard at white rock and castlepoint and moki on the sth coast. Also there's a good chance of a snapper off Scorching Bay Point, Tecam Bay and wire rock at this time of the year, so that's worth a look. Kahawai are plentiful, especially around Mana, Lyall Bay and in Palliser Bay.

On saturday night we caught a heap of kahawai, 3 snapper and a tarakihi and gurnard anchored up at Pukerua Bay
