Best Summer Ever!

Fishing reports - March

Good luck with the Plimmerton fishing comp this weekend, Stop Press - a 28kgkg kingfish and 11kg snapper were caught in the harbour over easter w/end (seen at the seaview ramp)

28.3.08 - Caught 26 snapper off the wire rise 2 days ago and left on slack water with the fish still biting, the last 2 days have also been good on puka at fishermans. the bridge has been firing snapper up to 20lbs with kingis and trevs too.

25/3/08 We have been averaging 12 + puka to 50lb over the last 4 days and had a couple of 'dozen' bags of snapper in the same time frame, two trips we have seen kingfish and there have been numerous tuna caught off the back of mana in the last few days. Summer is still here and the fish are biting

20.3.08: Plenty of puka aruond last w/end but after the earthquakes mon and tues they went off the bite for 3 days. good cod and teris around, plenty of crays too. this easter there should be good snapper and kings on the west. the weather looks ok so go out and have a good one - our shop is open easter saturday

16.3.08 More albacore on melicent the other day sth of fishermans, plenty of crays, puka, cod and teris down the sounds. snapper in port gore, puka at mc manaways, fishermans. the trench has been a bit tougher but puka have been in palliser, 5 mile and karori. plenty of cod at baring head and karori and some real xos fish too. plenty of tarakihi at arabella. the harbour has been prolific with small kahawai. snapper and kingfish stil rampant on the west coast. hunters and boulder bank still raging with kingfish
