Good fishing

Trench - the bluenose are really running well at the trench with good fish up to 17kg caught on charters recently. gemfish, puka and bass are also getting caught.

Harbour- snapper and kingfish are all over the place

West coast - snapper are good one day , tough the next, fish up to 22lb caught recently, kingfish rampant at hunters, boom, kapiti. caught ulb recently, the puka fishing out wide is good. we have had good numbers to 45lb the last 2 trips to fishermans. XOS tarakihi, j.d.s and warehou are also present.

Surfcasting - 50lb kingfish caught from castlepoint, 35lb from wire rock, 15lb snapper from miramar. plenty of kingis around the wharves. moki, spotty sharks and gurnard are a regular catch off the south coast at present
