FISHING REPORT

2.7.07- just finished 3 days chartering, good bluecod at karori light and inside palliser bay with a tope, ling and bass at the trench.

20.6.07 Fairly quiet last week with a trip to fishermans for 6 puka to 40lb and a kids trip to bears head again for 24 teris, a couple of bluecod and kahawai. the trench is still producing good puka and bluenose.   

10.6.07 - last two trips to fishermans have been tough - 6 and 7 puka both trips to 40lb, good teris to 2kg at bears head and a nice jd. good kahawai on the west. bluenose to 20kg at the trench on wednesday and a few good puka too.

1.6.07 same again for puka and bluenose with good tarakihi on the sth end of mana and makara. baring head has been good on bluecod.

general fishing report - 5 mile reef has been going well on big teris and school puka. some kingfish have been present off turakerie. surfcasters have been catching some nice gurnard at lake ferry. plenty of kahawai around.

$295pp (meals and tackle hire extra) July 14, 15th and 11, 12, 13th August. (scallop seasons starts 15th july)

We leave mana on 52ft Melicent 7am and return about 5pm the following day. We can leave on friday night if peferred. We fish for puka, on the way over then bluecod, tarakihi, warehou, crays etc on the other side. Accomodtion is at our chalet at Furneaux lodge, Endevour Inlet which sleeps 12.  Scallop season starts 15th July (we normally dredge up a heap of scollies at the beginning or the end of each day) 

Local Trips in Wellington

FULL DAY FISHING ON 62FT DANIEL at the trench and sth coast - Wednesday 11th July, cost $135pp (plus $30 tackle hire)

FULL DAY FISHING ON 52FT MELICENT from mana on the west coast - saturday 14th july, sunday 15th july, wed 18th july,  $135 per person, (plus tackle hire $30) snapper, tarakihi and puka are the target

KIDS FISHING TRIP (3 - 4hrs) cost - $40pp from Seaview, july 10th 8am - 12pm and 1pm -5pm  - SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
