Fishing Reports

Hi all well the snapper fishing is in full swing we are still getting god catches out in the gulf on the sand , some very nice fish to be had , John Dory are everywhere with some good size fish , using Jack Mackral as live baits around the reefs and pinicales near the bottom.

We had a pretty good run in the Gulf Harbour Comp at the weekend with some good fishing around Miners head , most of the snapper around 8kg with a nice 10.08 kg snapper for Mal Stevens takeing 4th over all , there were some nice fish weighed in the winning fish of 11.5 kg by Rob Bayes well done!

We also won the Kahawai section with a nice 2.6kg fish

There has been an unconfirmed report of a Marlin bite off KariKari a couple of weeks ago so things might start to happen with the big fish very soon.
