Fishing Reports

Hi all , well we are back from a succesful Blue Fin Tuna season in the south island what a blast , we managed to catch 36 Blue Fin average being 250 kg and weighing one at 301.4 , we are in Gulf Harbour doing the snapper season at the moment and getting ready for the Game season ,  the snapper are here in force , we have had some great fishing in the last few weeks , the snapper are in the middle ground in numbers , the birds are the key just find the birds working and it's all go , if the birds arn't working just spend a bit of time sounding around for some sign and try a drift through or anchor and set some burly on the bottom they will come to you , there are some nice Gurnard around but the snapper fishing is great , there have been a couple of yellow fin landed up north and water temp is rising so the billfish want be far away , we are planning a couple of sword brifts in a couple of weeks so will keep you up to date on how that goes well tight lines .
