Fishing Reports

Winter fishing has been great off the Oakura Bay area lately. Recently a first time lady angler caught an 8.8kg snapper on an afternoon fish by Danger Rock. Good Terekihi, Snapper, Kahawai, Trevally & Hapuka are being caught out in the Deeper waters off the Oakura area. After a recent storm fishing in close in the stirred up water was good with nice fish being caught.

We have been having good success with the 2 circular hooks method tied closly together that has been mentioned in fishing magazines.
