Fishing Reports

Hi everyone,

Well the weather is playing a big part in where to go. We have just been to the Mokes for 3 days and while the fishing was hard we managed to get onto the snapper

There was a short bite on Friday for about an hour and a half around Maori rock - nothing huge but some nice panies on day one. A few cuda showed up early but fishing squid slowed them down . Lots of nice trevs with some around 3kg. Day 2 started with a snapper fish early morning. The bite was even shorter so we headed out for some puka and we really stuggled.

Lots of red snapper and terakihi but no puka so back to snapper. Another late afternoon bite with the best on sat an 8kg fish and some more nice trevs. Sunday the wind started  so had a short fish in the morning for some snapper and then headed to Little Barrier and ended up fishing 5 mile reef with a real mixed bag. Snapper , terakihi, blue cod, & trevs . Once it was time to head home everyone had a good feed and was pretty happy.
