Fishing ReportsBig bad snapperI have not heard of better snapper fishing for a while - Jonnathon Delich came into the shop on friday for some tackle and bait and a few hours later he came back with a 31lb snapper (weighed by me) caught in a his 10ft tinnie, 10mins ftom the ramp at Seatoun. he also caught 5 others. I was going to show you my 19.8lber caught at Plimmerton last saturday but it was not quite up to scratch. There have been many other snaps caught on the sth coast, the harbour and the west. There are also good kings, puka, tarakihi, moki, gurnard, trevs and cod around too, i'll give you a full report soon. This Thursday on our share cost fishing trip from Mana, we are honoured to have cook, musician and fisho - Iain Gordon aka 'Dobie Blaze' from top NZ band Fat Freddys Drop on board Melicent. He will be cooking breakfast, morning tea and lunch, regaling us with tales about touring and gigging around the NZ and the world and fishing with us. Cost $150pp pluys tackle hire (including food).
