Fishing Reports

snapper still here

The snaps have been firing big time on the west particularly off Plimmerton and Pukerua bay, we caught 10 to 19lb last saturday and had another 6 on monday.

The puka fishing went quiet over the full moon but have come back with the back of hunters and fishermans still producing good numbers and some big fish.

We had a great talk by Gary Kemsley the other night on distance casting. now we know how to cast 150mtrs plus there should be no holding back.

The water is still warm and the kingfish are still at Hunters. this is a prime time for an LBG king off places like boom, wire rock and the back of the airport. snapper should now be present off the seatoun to mahanga area in the harbour.

There are no shortage of kahawai in the harbour and around Mana.

We've had a couple of good Sounds trips recently with plenty of cod and tarakihi, crays and puka.
