Fishing ReportsDIVING AROUND OTAGO - 17 OCTOBER 2005The strong North Easterlies have restricted diving activities to the south side of the Peninsula where conditions have been excellent with flat seas and 10 - 15m visibility. Tow Rock, White Island, Green Island and the Taieri Mouth area have been diving well with a few crays up to 2kg being taken. Those who fish during surface interval have caught the usual plethora of blue cod and reports of some catching school grouper in 10 metres of water! Training activities continued over the weekend at the Aramoana Mole where visibility was 3 - 5 metres and there was a residual NE swell of 1 metre. Several students gained their PADI Open Water Diver certifications and reported excellent experiences. Staff members are off to Milford Sound for Labour weekend so the next report will contain details of their adventures.
