General Round Up

The puka are firing on the west and are starting to fatten up for the spawn. The best fishing for the year is approaching. The snapper have been more spasmodic. Makara has been better than further north. Surfcasters continue to catch bigh numbers of spotty sharks and a few nice blue moki on the south coast. the kahawai have been in big numbers there as well, especially off lyall bay. marlb sounds - crail and beatrix bay have been good for snapper of late, mainly small ones. It is a good month for a late kingfish off the shore or in the boat.

The Aon - Southern bait fishing comp is on this w/end.  For details on that or for a charter, tackle or bait enquiry, contact pete on 0274470750 or ray on 04 3878150
